At the Ole' Ball Game!

Cat and I went to see the Red Hawks play the Memphis Redbirds Sunday night. The Red Hawks are a Triple A affliate of the Texas Rangers and play in the Pacific Coast League. This was our first time to see a baseball game at the Bricktown Ballpark this year which shows you how busy this summer has been for us.

We had a great time. Well, I had a great time, and Cat had a great time watching me have a great time. Cat is not at all a sports fan, but she has indulged my passion for baseball.

The Red Hawks 6-5, BTW. Our team is in 1st place in the Southern Division of the league.

Baseball begins this weekend!

There is really nothing quite like Opening Day in all of sports. Perhaps because baseball begins in the Spring when nature renews itself, I feel a sense of renewal each season when baseball begins.

I've become a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Things are looking up

Baseball Display at the Oklahoma History Museum

Two good things happen tomorrow.
1) The last day of February. (Why is it that the shortest month of the year always seems like the longest one?)
2) Spring training games begin which means Opening Day is not that far off. (April 1st!)
