Will Rogers HS Chess Tournament
I took a student, Zachary Wright, to the Oklahoma Scholastic Chess Organization's scholastic chess tournament at Will Rogers High School in Tulsa. Zachary got his first tournament win at the event and was so excited he was telling everyone, including the waitress at Chili's where we ate after the tournament.
Will Rogers High School is a beautiful Art Deco creation built by the Works Progress Administration during the Depression.
The next tournament is in Oklahoma City. I hope I can take more students this time to it.
